薄く弱く感じる人生。

しかし傷をつくりながらも動かしつづけてきたのは紛れもなく自分の足で, 歩く選択をしつづけてきたのも自分自身だった。

この作品は私が今まで生きてきた足跡を振り返ったもので, 一人ひとりの人生それぞれに確実に積み上げられてきたものがあるはずだと再確認する試みである。幼少期から続けてきたクラシックバレエを軸に, 誕生から現在までの自身の成長をメタファーとしたスナップショット等で構成した。

　さまざまな生き方をしている人々と出会って刺激を受けると, 自身の人生はただ時間とお金を浪費してきただけのように感じてしまう。しかし足跡を辿ると, 私がひたむきに歩いてきた道も決して間違いではないように思えた。

Recognizing My Feet

I feel as if my life has been hollow frail.

However, there is no doubt that it is my feet, although they get injured at times, that keep me continually moving on, and I am the one who continuously choose to walk on.

In this project, I look back on the “footprints” of my life, attempting to reconfirm my assumption that there should be a certain something that has accumulated throughout every step of any individual’s life. Here, I use the theme of classical ballet, which I have been practicing since early in my childhood, as a metaphor to express my personal development from birth to the present day via snapshots.

Whenever I get inspired by an encounter with people living very different lives from my own, I cannot help but feel as if I have spent my entire life just wasting my time and money. Nevertheless, when I follow my own footsteps, it seems to me that the path I have continued to walk is not incorrect.
